The digital transformation of healthcare systems has accelerated in the last decade, driven largely by advancements in artificial intelligence (AI) and the integration of AI-driven medical devices into clinical workflows. AI technologies such as machine learning, natural language processing, and computer vision have enhanced diagnostic accuracy, predictive analytics, and personalized treatment pathways, thereby reshaping traditional models of healthcare delivery. This paper examines the role of AI-driven medical devices in facilitating digital transformation, exploring both opportunities and challenges. A systematic review of current literature was undertaken to evaluate key applications across diagnostics, monitoring, and therapeutic interventions. The study employs a bibliometric analysis and a qualitative synthesis of peer-reviewed literature and research case studies from healthcare institutions that have adopted AI-based technologies. Findings suggest that AI-driven medical devices significantly improve patient outcomes by enabling early disease detection, real-time monitoring, and precision therapies. However, issues such as algorithmic bias, interoperability, regulatory uncertainty, and data privacy remain pressing barriers to large-scale adoption. The paper concludes that AI-driven devices represent a central pillar in the digitalization of healthcare systems, provided that ethical frameworks, governance mechanisms, and robust infrastructures are established. The contribution of this study lies in offering an integrative framework for understanding how AI-enabled medical devices not only transform clinical practices but also redefine the broader healthcare ecosystem, thereby advancing the goals of efficiency, equity, and sustainability.
