Although Enterprise Architecture and Job Architecture represent strategic instruments for organizational transformation, on many occasions existing research has treated them as separate and/or unrelated disciplines. This paper seeks to address this conceptual divide by investigating their interrelationship through a systematic literature review and proposing a preliminary framework for EA-JA integration. The primary research inquiries revolve around identifying points of friction and opportunities for co-design between IT and HR functions, as well as exploring whether formal alignment between EA and JA enhances long-term organizational competitiveness. Based on a systematic literature review, the findings reveal a series of situations indicative of misalignments and coordination gaps of current integration efforts, despite their parallel evolution into strategic disciplines. In response, the author advocates for a transdisciplinary approach meant to leverage the transformative potential of aligning Enterprise Architecture and Job Architecture in support of sustainable organizational strategies.
